I have extensive experience as a community organizer and professional musician. In this way I consider myself an artivist (art/activist). Meaningthat in my 20 years of experience I have utilized art and activism to engage in community dialogue. I see music and art as a fundamental practice in reĀmembering humanity.
When approached by Edson Gianesi, I was thrilled at the idea of participating. Once I began to create I started with a theme, went around the world exploring other ideas and ended up right where I began. Ultimately, I feel most comfortable when the expression is organic. As much time as I have spent playing traditional instruments, I still have to come back to what is a part of my roots and that is rock music.
