Tony Guerrero is an award-winning musician, composer and producer. With multiple solo jazz CDs, many of which have reached the national Top 10/20/40 jazz charts, and worldwide tours, Tony has gained an international following and widespread critical acclaim. His work as a songwriter and producer has been heard on radio, television and movies and has covered multiple music genres.
I was intrigued by Edson's desire to create a piece of music that was composed by multiple musicians but without any boundaries set. I sat with the track in my home studio and just enjoyed playing freely off the limited parts I was hearing (since my track was early on in the process) and am thoroughly intrigued to hear what other musicians, most of whom I'll probably never meet, will add. How will they respond, musically, to what I played? How different will it be from what was in my head at the moment I was playing? Very fun. In a world of pre-programmed, cookie-cutter music, projects like this are a breath of fresh air!
